Terms of use
The plain-language rules for using this site.
This site is for learning, not for care
BrainHarbor explains published research in plain words. It is here to help you learn, and to help you ask your care team better questions. That is all it is for.
It does not know your case. It is not a doctor, and using it does not create any care relationship.
Never delay care or change a treatment because of something you read here. Talk with your care team first. If you have an emergency, call 911.
We try hard, and we can still be wrong
Research changes, and summaries can contain mistakes. AI writes them. Each one must pass our automatic checks before it goes up, but a person does not read every one. We fix errors when we learn about them. Even so, we cannot promise that everything here is complete or current.
We are not part of these groups
We point you to the ABTA CareLine, the National Cancer Institute, and ClinicalTrials.gov because their help is good. We are not part of them. They do not run this site, and they did not check what we wrote.
Using our words
You may read, print, and share pages for yourself, your family, or your support group. Please link back rather than copying whole pages, so people get the current version.
Studies, news, and trial records we link to belong to the people who made them. We link to those sources instead of copying them.
AI-assisted summaries
Summaries are written by AI and must pass our automatic safety checks before publishing. See how we write for the whole process.
What to do next

This is not medical advice. It explains research in plain words. Your care team knows your case. Talk with them before you make any decision about your treatment.
This is not legal advice. Talk with a lawyer about your own situation.
